It’s nice as an artist to be able to take advantage of the amazing possibilities afforded with rapid prototyping via 3D printing. Many of these designs could not be manufactured any other way. Shapeways organized their first ever Shapeways Community World Meetup Day on February 28th, 2013. During the World Meetup, there were local Meetups from at least 90 cities, with with like-minded people getting together, bringing and sharing their 3D prints, stories, experiences, questions or just their curiosity. I hosted the event and tugged along tons of my own 3D printed samples. Queue Creative Marketing Group, Inc. graciously and generously let us use their beautiful design space for the event.
